Remarkable Hong Kong Hotels

I am commencing a series of articles on various leading cities across the world and 5 of their unique Hotels:- A) The Tallest, B) The Most Recently Opened, C) The Most Recently Renovated, D) The Largest and E) The Most Family Friendly. For my first article I have selected Hong Kong.

A) The Tallest Hotel and B) the Most Recently Opened Hotel
The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is both the tallest and newest Hotel in Hong Kong. It dominates the city skyline at 490 meters high. This is also the world's tallest hotel. Soaring from the 102nd floor to the 118th floor, with unrivaled views of Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong Island and the New Territories, the hotel takes center stage in the International Commerce Centre (ICC), offering luxury commercial, residential and retail space.

It has 312 guest rooms all offering spectacular city and harbour views, plus choice accommodations including Deluxe Harbour Rooms, Grand Harbour Suites, the magnificent Ritz-Carlton Suite and Ritz-Carlton Club Rooms - with access to the panoramic Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge. The Ritz-Carlton Club offers complimentary food and beverage presentations 24 hours a day, as well as a dedicated Club Concierge, work stations, meeting rooms and WiFi throughout.

There are six dining venues starting on the 102nd floor, including Chinese and Italian restaurants, a lobby lounge, tea lounge and alfresco rooftop bar.

D) The Largest Hotel
The L'hotel Nina et Convention Centre Hong Kong is a 5-star hotel consisting of 2 towers connected by a glass-bottomed Skybridge. There are 1,599 well-appointed and comfortable guest rooms of 28-47 sq m offering seaview or city views. Tower I comprises of 42 storeys with 689 rooms and Tower II comprises of 89 storey with 910 rooms approximately. Room size is 34 to 109 square metres. All rooms are well equipped including LCD TVs. e) The Most Family Friendly Hotel
Unlike the previous categories, where their can only be one Hotel to fit the description, it is harder to choose just one for this category. On this occasion I have chosen two- The Hollywood Hotel and Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. The first is a Hollywood themed Hotel, with classic cars, Disney characters and pools. The Disneyland Hotel offers a Mickey Maze and 'activities. For more information see the website:-  http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/en_US/hotels/landing?name=HollywoodHotelLandingPage

My thanks to Miryana Power, Public Relations Manager (Australia/New Zealand)  at the Hong Kong Tourism Board for providing me with suggestions of these Hotels to write about. For information about Hong Kong see the website:-  www.DiscoverHongKong.com/australia
