Since his appointment in 2019, he has worked closely with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to drive growth and promote Western Australia as a premier business events destination. When not leading the organisation, Gareth enjoys exploring WA’s natural wonders with his family.
Paige Newman – Executive Assistant to the CEO
Paige plays a crucial role in supporting the CEO and the Board while coordinating business events and site inspections across Western Australia. She is passionate about showcasing the state’s diverse offerings, from its pristine coastlines to its renowned food and wine scene. In her spare time, Paige loves traveling and staying active with beach volleyball.
Michael Altieri – Executive Director Strategic Projects
With over 30 years of experience in the events and conference sector, Michael leads Business Events Perth’s strategic initiatives. His expertise helps to elevate the state’s business events profile and unlock new growth opportunities for the industry.
Trish McKay – Director Corporate Services & Company Secretary
Trish is responsible for managing the financial and human resource operations at Business Events Perth. With a broad background in tourism and hospitality, she brings a well-rounded perspective to the organisation. Her personal goal is to visit all Seven Wonders of the World.

With three decades of industry knowledge, Tracey manages client-facing events and activations. Having previously led Destination Perth, she has returned to Business Events Perth to focus on business events, a sector she is passionate about.
