6. VIEW EXHIBITIONS AT THE NATIONAL GALLERY OF AUSTRALIA
The National Gallery of Australia presents exhibitions throughout the year but also houses some of the best pieces of art year-round. In 2022 celebrate women with the Know My Name exhibition until 26 June, or visit Ceremony until 31 July, a testament to the survival of indigenous culture.7. TRUFFLE FESTIVAL

8. CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Gather your family and friends and celebrate Christmas in July. With the cool climate in Canberra, it makes for a perfect experience. Head to Parkes Pace Lawns from the 30th of June to the 3rd of July for the festival, or otherwise, book with Marble & Grain for a 5-course feast with matching wine.
9. NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY
Canberra has a scattering of Galleries for everyone to enjoy. From the larger national galleries down to the independently owned galleries displaying up-and-coming artists. The National Portrait Gallery is displaying famous faces from the 16th century through to today in the Shakesphere to Winehouse exhibition (closes July 17).
