Ingenia Holidays and Woolworths launch industry-first delivery partnership

With travel restrictions beginning to ease and Australians embracing regional and domestic travel, Ingenia Holidays and Woolworths have today launched an industry-first delivery partnership set to make holiday planning a whole lot easier.

Guests at Ingenia Holidays parks across the country will now be able to pre-order their holiday grocery essentials via the dedicated Ingenia Holidays Woolworths online ordering portal, offering a no-hassles ‘direct to site’ delivery.

As the first holiday park operator to strike a deal with a major grocery chain, Ingenia Holidays Chief Operating Officer Nikki Fisher said the partnership was about making travel more convenient for today’s busy family and reflects the rise in consumer demand for online grocery shopping.

“When we talk to our guests about the ‘perfect holiday experience’, rarely does it include packing the car full of groceries or taking the entire family to the supermarket once you’ve arrived at your destination,” Ms Fisher said.

“This partnership with Woolworths means that guests can have groceries delivered directly to their holiday site, and if they haven’t checked-in yet, our park managers will either securely store groceries for campers and caravanners, or unpack the groceries into the fridge for our guests staying in cabins.

“And for those already doing their holiday grocery shopping online, this service means they no longer need to investigate whether parks support grocery delivery or disrupt their holiday to be available during delivery windows.”

Ms Fisher said the roll-out across all 22 sites in Queensland and New South Wales follows successful trials at key parks and resorts in both states.

“Feedback from our guests has been great, especially from families and large groups who arrived at our cabin, caravan and camp sites to a fully stocked fridge,” she said.

“As the domestic tourism market continues to bounce back from the effects of COVID-19, operators will be looking at new and exciting ways we can make travel easier and more attractive to guests.

“We’re hoping this partnership means travellers spend less time organising the nuts and bolts of their trip and more time exploring regional Australia.”

Woolworths Director of E-Commerce Annette Karantoni said the supermarket was pleased to team up within Ingenia to offer the simplicity of grocery delivery to holidaymakers.

“We’re seeing more and more Australians turn to the ease and convenience of grocery delivery to their home because they want to reclaim time in their busy lives,”

Ms Karantoni said. “Together with Ingenia, we’re delighted to be extending the same benefits to our customers on their family holiday as well.

“It means customers can arrive with the peace of mind of a fully stocked fridge and spend more time enjoying local attractions with their loved ones.”
