| Vinpearl Safari Animal Care and Conservation Park |
Vinpearl Safari Animal Care and Conservation Park is the first and only open zoo in Vietnam that was built according to international Safari model.
The statistics are quite impressive - 150 animal species, 3,000 individuals and 1,200 botanical species are on view for visitors like me to see.
Stage 1 is completed, with a land area of 380 hectares. More stages are to follow, making it even bigger than what it is today.
There are two main areas of the Vinpearl Safari that I went and explored with my group of other travelers from Australia - the Open Zoo and Wildlife Park. These are open from 9 am to 4 pm daily.
OPEN ZOO
The Open Zoo nurtures and conserves rare native species of wild animals from featured bio-geographic regions in the world such as South Africa, Europe, India, and Australia. I was able to see the Vinpearl Safari’s Open Zoo animals live in a semi-open design with a surrounding moat. This creates a natural harmonious habitat for them and enables authentic and lively views for myself and other visitors.

The Yhe Ungulates area has Arabian Antelope, Pronghorn, Black Antelope and Gaur. I admired the majestic beauty of the white Bengal Tiger and African Lion and saw the Asian elephants cruising down the stream.
A delight to watch is the naughtiness of the One-hump Camel, Striped Hyena and the laziness of the Bear species.
The Bird park has three distinct themed gardens - Peacock, Stork, and Blackbird, and Flamingo lake. I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the restaurant overlooking the Flamingo Lake.
WILDLIFE PARK
I and other visitors got to experience the Wildlife park by driving around a loop road in the Wildlife Park in a specialized vehicle. This was in a very interesting manner to see the animals, as myself and the other people were caged up in the vehicle rather than the animals themselves being locked up in cages.
The Wildlife Park is spread over a large area with an abundant growth of plants and vegetation. The Wildlife park meets the rigorous standards of the Safari model. Each subdivision in the park is a different habitat ensuring suitable biological behavior of each of the animal species on display.
What I found interesting is that I was able to closely observe lions playing in the hay, giraffes cruising across the road, rhinos roaming around and drowning themselves in wet mud and waterbucks suddenly pricking their ears up to the roar from “the Lord of the forest”. It is the open living space that enables the species to freely express their instinctive behaviors and gives visitors a chance to experience the genuine wild living habits of the various animals.
The first and only open zoo in Vietnam, Vinpearl Safari brings visitors closer to the natural wild behaviors of the lives of the animal kingdom.
Along with the exploration of wild animal’s life, Vinpearl Safari brings many other unique experiences. I was delighted to see the Animal Show where various birds and animals were put on display in the open air auditorium which had covered seating for the audience. I also saw the lively performance of the Zulu dancers.
SHOW SCHEDULE
- Animal Show 10 am – 10:30 am (everyday) and 2 pm - 2.30 pm (except Tuesday & Wednesday)
- Photographs with animals is available after the animal shows at a cost of 50.000 vnd. These include the Blue-and-yellow Macaw Parrots to Albino Pythons, Komodos, and Savannah Lizards.
- Zulu Dance Show is held 3 time a day at 9.30 - 9.50 am, 11.30 - 11.50 am and 3.30 to 3.50 pm.
- Photographs with mascot each Saturday and Sunday at 9 - 9.30 am
CUISINE
Three restaurants serve delicious food at the Vinpearl Safari. The skillful and experienced chefs specialize in cuisines from Asian to European countries. I enjoyed my meal st the Flamingo Restaurant set in a naturally harmonious and airy space overlooking the Flamingo Pond.
Rhino Restaurant
Rhino restaurant is located on the Swan Lake, near the ticket control counter. Visitors enjoy Rhino's delicious foods before beginning the discovery journey of Vinpearl Safari.

This is the ideal place for visitors to relax, turn their views towards the lush green forests or contemplate the delicate flamingos showing off their blossoming beauties by the lake. It is located near the Animal Performance Area

Giraffe Restaurant
Nestled between the immense trees, Giraffe’s guests experience poetic sensations enjoying meals in the middle of the forest along with the lovely Giraffes, Ostriches and other animals.
Fast food stalls
In addition to the restaurants, food stalls serving snacks, soft drinks and ice cream are scattered around Vinpearl Safari.

SHOPPING
Just outside the entrance to Vinpearl Safari, visitors can find a rich range of exclusive souvenirs and unique native crafts products inspired by the wild nature and rare animal species. The Shopping Street is one of the interesting stopovers for visitors. The booths are designed using natural indigenous materials, harmonizing between modern and traditional architecture. The shops are open from 9 am to 5 pm everyday.
ADMISSION
Entry to Vinpearl Safari is based on a persons height, not age. Those under 1m are free, from 1 – 1.4m 500,000 VND and over 1.4m 600,000 VND. Discounted combined tickets to Vinpearl Safari & Vinpearlland are also available.

HOW TO GET THERE
Means of transportation from Duong Dong to Vinpearl Safari is by either Vinpearl free Safari’s bus that operates from 8:30am to 2.30pm, Taxi, car or Motorbike.
