The Westin Melbourne's signature restaurant, Allegro has the recipe for love this Valentine's Day with a menu featuring all the ingredients for a memorable evening.
Starting with a glass of Moet & Chandon champagne on arrival, guests will indulge in a five course dinner by candlelight designed by Executive Chef Geoffrey Carkner.
Black pepper sable foie gras sets the tone for the evening, followed by slow cooked langoustine with cauliflower pannacotta and a salad of hearts of palm. A cleansing strawberry ice and sake lees prepares the palette for the main event of sous-vide and roast beef tenderloin, pan seared salmon and fresh green pea risotto. Just leave room for dessert because there's a decadent smoked chocolate mousse with hazelnut crunch, orange cremeux and fig coffee ice cream left to finish.
Allegro's relaxed inner city setting provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic interlude featuring an open kitchen and commanding views over City Square and the tree tops on Collins Street.
The special Valentine's Day menu is $105 per person and will be available from 6pm on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of February, 2016.
If your idea of romance is spending the night in or if love truly blossoms over dinner, The Westin Melbourne is offering ten percent off their luxurious accommodation rates and a discounted in-room breakfast to anyone that makes a booking in Allegro for Valentine's Day.
Reservations can be made by calling 9635.2222 or emailing allegro@westin.com. More information and menus can be found online at allegrorestaurant.com.au.
