Artists performing in the indoor evening venues are John Fullbright (recipient of the Peoples' Choice award for 2 years in a row), Mary Gauthier, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Jonatha Brooke, 3hattrio, and 10 String Symphony. Outdoor daytime performers at the ball park include the legendary Bruce Cockburn in his second visit to the Festival, Dar Williams in her first appearance on our stages, Anne McCue, Andrew Duhon, and The Small Glories.
Our “Inspiring Conversations” workshops are free and open to the public. They take place at Star Hall on Saturday and Sunday mornings and feature interviews with Jonatha Brooke, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Mary Gauthier.
The Festival is a green event with a small energy footprint. Moab is the first EPA Green Power Community, and Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky Program offsets the Festival's energy use. A new partnership with Boulder, CO based Eco-Products will further green the Festival with compostable products. The USU Office of Student Sustainability will assist by ensuring the products are turned into compost and used in University landscaping.
A 3-day pass costs $130 for adults and includes all the daytime open air venues at the Ball Field in the middle of town, plus evening concerts at historic Star Hall in downtown Moab, or the Grand County High School's modern, acoustically-rich auditorium. Tickets to individual shows are $40 each. This year we are introducing a Folk Festival Patron Ticket. Purchase a 3-Day Patron ticket for $250 with your choice of evening venue and support the Moab Folk Festival in style. The Patron Ticket includes priority indoor seating, shade tent at outdoor venue with lunch and beverages, gift certificate for Festival merchandise of your choice, a raffle ticket to our 2015 Artist CD basket and a donation to Friends of the Moab Folk Festival, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
