On the last Sunday in March, the first Qantas flight from Sydney to Dubai departed Sydney Airport, signalling the start of the new partnership agreement between Qantas and Emirates. The new partnership will streamline travel to Australia for visitors flying from Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The commencement of the new partnership featured a key promotion campaign, including a flyover of Sydney Harbour by Qantas and an Emirates A390 aircrafts, which will be used to promote services to Australia around the world and showcase Sydney as a key destination for international visitors.
The Qantas - Emirates partnership means countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are one stop away, making Sydney and NSW a more accessible and realistic option for visitors from a wider range of key tourism markets.
