The largest specialised tourist
industry event in Azerbaijan and the entire Caucasus region, 12th
Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair (AITF) 2013 kicked off
today at the Baku Expo Centre. This year, the fair will bring together
over 200 companies and organisations, from 35 countries, who will
present the latest tourism trends in travel, business travel, and
medical and luxury tourism.
Over three days, a wide range of travel services will be presented at
the show, displaying their latest offerings to eager visitors. Services
include airlines and aviation agencies; tour operators and travel
agencies; hotels, health spas and companies specialising in adventure
holidays, luxury tourism and environmental tourism.
The first two days of AITF will be trade-only – allowing
professionals to find out about new destinations, make contacts, and
share information. The exhibition will be open to the public on 6 April.
Exhibitors will hold seminars, presentations, lotteries and holiday
prize draws at their stands.
Over the past 12 years, the event has reflected the region’s travel
and tourism trends, and has continued to be a key influence in the
regions tourist industry. AITF 2013 is set to reconfirm its status as a
high-quality meeting place where tourism professionals and travellers
can learn about exclusive travel offers, new routes and the best prices.
