The Duck Swims Into Darling Harbour



What’s around 15 metres high, bright yellow and will be floating around Darling Harbour in January?

Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman’s amazing Rubber Duck which will be splishin’ and a splashin’ around Cockle Bay as part of the 2013 Sydney Festival.

From the Loire river in France to Osaka in Japan and San Paulo in Brazil, Rubber Duck—a massively oversized replica of the toy that has been brightening up children’s bathtubs for over a century—has captivated audiences around the world.

Now you can see it for the first time in Australia, as it turns Sydney Harbour into its own over-sized bathtub—with awesome city views!

It all kicks off from 2pm on Saturday 5 January as part of Sydney Festival’s Day One extravaganza and will be floating around Cockle Bay until 23 January—so check it out before we pull the plug!
