Paddington Bear in London: Follow the Pawprints of Britain’s Favourite Bear

The Paddington Bear Experience
For generations of readers and film fans, Paddington Bear has been one of the most beloved characters associated with London. From his famous arrival at Paddington Station to his adventures with the Brown family, the marmalade-loving bear has become an enduring symbol of the capital.

Today, visitors can follow Paddington's story around London, discovering immersive attractions, colourful artwork and locations connected with the character and his adventures.

Begin the Adventure at Paddington Station

on train
A Paddington-themed London visit naturally begins at Paddington Station, where the famous bear first arrived from Peru carrying his battered suitcase and wearing his distinctive red hat.

The station remains one of the most recognisable places associated with Paddington. Visitors can find the Paddington Bear statue and take photographs beside the character before exploring the surrounding area.

It is an easy and entertaining stop for families and fans who want to connect the fictional story with the real London setting that inspired so much of Paddington's world.

See Paddington in London's West End

Paddington is Paddington: The Musical
One of the newest ways to experience Paddington is Paddington: The Musical, which brings the much-loved character to the London stage.

The production combines live performance, music and the familiar Paddington story in a West End theatrical experience. With the show having debuted in London in 2025 and plans for a Broadway production in New York, it has become another major attraction for Paddington fans visiting the capital.

Because popular theatre performances can sell quickly, visitors should consider booking tickets well in advance of their London holiday.

Discover Paddington's London Mural

Paddington mural on Sutton Walk
Fans can also find a colourful Paddington mural on Sutton Walk near London's South Bank.

Created by Peruvian artist Gisella Stapleton to celebrate the release of Paddington in Peru, the vibrant artwork provides an excellent photo opportunity and connects Paddington's London adventures with his South American origins.

South Bank itself is one of London's most enjoyable areas to explore, with attractions, restaurants, riverside walks and spectacular views across the River Thames.

Enter The Paddington Bear Experience

The Paddington Bear Experience
For an immersive Paddington adventure, head to The Paddington Bear Experience in London.

Visitors become part of an interactive story inspired by Paddington and the Brown family. The experience takes guests into familiar locations including the Brown family's home at 32 Windsor Gardens, with activities centred around helping Paddington prepare for Marmalade Day.

It is particularly suited to families and younger Paddington fans, but the detailed sets and nostalgia also make it appealing to adults who grew up with Michael Bond's books.

Make Paddington Part of Your London Holiday

The Paddington Bear Experience
Paddington attractions can easily be combined with a wider London sightseeing itinerary. After exploring Paddington Station, visitors can travel to South Bank for the mural and immersive experience before continuing along the Thames towards attractions such as the London Eye, Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe.

For fans of the original books, the films or the West End musical, a Paddington-themed London visit provides a charming way to see the capital through the eyes of one of Britain's best-loved fictional characters.

Whether arriving in London for the first time or returning for another visit, following Paddington's pawprints offers a fun and memorable way to discover a different side of the city.

Premiering on Friday 18 September 2026 inside the resort's Planet Chill Ice-Skating Rink, Rock on Ice promises to transform the ice into a spectacular live rock arena.

The original 45-minute production will take audiences on an energetic journey through the history of rock music, travelling from the birth of rock and roll in the 1950s through to the biggest rock anthems of today.

For families visiting the Gold Coast during the September school holiday period and beyond, the new production offers another reason to make Paradise Resort part of their holiday itinerary.

Rock Music Meets World-Class Ice Skating

Rock on Ice has been designed as far more than a conventional ice-skating performance.

The production combines high-level figure skating with dramatic choreography, theatrical costumes, powerful lighting and aerial performances to create an immersive experience for audiences of different generations.

Each musical era will be brought to life on the ice, with performers skating to memorable rock songs while aerial artists add another dimension to the production.

The result is intended to be a fast-moving celebration of rock music that combines sporting skill with live theatre and spectacular visual entertainment.

For children, the excitement of the skating and aerial performances provides plenty to enjoy, while parents and grandparents can reconnect with familiar rock classics.

A New Signature Experience at Paradise Resort

Rock on Ice has been created and directed by Paradise Resort Entertainment Manager Vinnie Borges, with choreography by Danielle Spencer.

The production forms part of Paradise Resort's continuing investment in original entertainment designed specifically for families.

Alicia Szerszyn, Marketing Manager at Paradise Resort Gold Coast, said the production had been created to deliver a memorable experience for families.

The show is designed to combine energetic performance, emotional moments, spectacular visuals and iconic music that can be enjoyed across generations.

That multi-generational appeal is at the heart of the concept.

Whether audiences are passionate rock music fans or simply looking for an entertaining night out during a Gold Coast holiday, Rock on Ice aims to provide a memorable experience.

Rock on Ice Premieres on 18 September 2026

Rock on Ice
The first performance of Rock on Ice will take place on Friday 18 September 2026 at Planet Chill Ice-Skating Rink at Paradise Resort Gold Coast.

The show is scheduled to run from September through January, with performance dates to be announced on the resort's website.

This extended season gives visitors multiple opportunities to experience the production while holidaying on the Gold Coast.

The show is also open to the general public, meaning visitors do not have to be staying at Paradise Resort to enjoy the performance.

This makes Rock on Ice an additional entertainment option for Gold Coast residents and tourists looking for something different from the region's traditional attractions.

A Night Out for the Whole Family

The new show is designed to appeal to families, couples and groups.

For families, the combination of ice skating, music, aerial entertainment and theatrical production provides a shared experience that can appeal to children and adults.

Couples can make Rock on Ice part of an evening out, while groups can combine the performance with dinner and other Gold Coast activities.

The resort is also offering VIP table packages and Dinner and Show options, allowing guests to build a more complete evening around the performance.

For visitors staying at Paradise Resort, Rock on Ice adds another entertainment option without requiring a journey away from the resort.

Planet Chill Becomes a Rock Arena

Planet Chill Ice-Skating Rink is already one of Paradise Resort's distinctive attractions.

With Rock on Ice, the rink takes on a completely different character.

Instead of being simply a place for recreational skating, the ice becomes the centrepiece of a theatrical production featuring professional performers, lighting, music, costumes and aerial artistry.

The transformation is part of what makes the concept particularly interesting for Gold Coast visitors.

Audiences can expect the production to combine the movement and athleticism of figure skating with the energy of a live concert.

From Rock and Roll to Modern Anthems

Rock on Ice
One of the show's major attractions is its musical journey through different generations of rock.

The production begins with the origins of rock and roll in the 1950s before moving through subsequent eras and ultimately reaching contemporary rock anthems.

This chronological approach gives audiences the opportunity to recognise music associated with different periods while discovering how rock has evolved over the decades.

For families travelling together, this also creates an opportunity for different generations to share songs and performances they know.

The combination of classic music and modern production techniques is intended to make the show accessible to a broad audience.

Paradise Resort: A Family Holiday Destination

Rock on Ice adds to an already extensive entertainment offering at Paradise Resort Gold Coast.

The resort is known for its family-focused approach and provides a range of attractions and activities designed to keep children and adults entertained throughout a holiday.

Facilities and activities include Planet Chill Ice-Skating Rink, waterparks, a kids club, miniature train, daily children's activities and live entertainment.

The resort is also located approximately 250 metres from Surfers Paradise Beach, placing guests close to one of the Gold Coast's most famous stretches of coastline.

This combination of resort entertainment and beach access allows families to enjoy both the attractions of the resort and the wider Gold Coast holiday experience.

A Gold Coast Holiday with Entertainment Built In

For families planning a Gold Coast holiday, having entertainment available within the resort can make a significant difference.

Parents can enjoy the convenience of having activities close to their accommodation, while children can move between swimming, ice skating, organised activities and live shows.

Rock on Ice provides another evening activity that can be incorporated into a broader family holiday.

Guests can spend the day exploring the Gold Coast, relaxing at the beach or enjoying the resort's attractions before dressing up for an evening performance.

The Dinner and Show packages also offer an opportunity to combine entertainment and dining into one experience.

More Than Just an Ice Show

Rock on Ice
What distinguishes Rock on Ice is the combination of several entertainment styles.

It is part ice-skating spectacular, part live concert and part theatrical production.

The addition of aerial acrobatics creates another layer of excitement, while the rock soundtrack provides the energy and atmosphere of a live music event.

For children who may have never attended a professional ice-skating show, it can provide an introduction to the athleticism and artistry of skating.

For adults, the familiar music creates a nostalgic connection with some of rock music's most memorable eras.

Perfect for September to January Gold Coast Holidays

With performances planned from September through January, Rock on Ice will coincide with several important Gold Coast holiday periods.

Visitors travelling during the September school holidays will be among the first audiences to experience the new production.

The show will then continue through spring, the Christmas and New Year period and into January, giving summer holidaymakers another entertainment option.

Families planning a Gold Coast trip during this period should check the official Paradise Resort website for confirmed performance dates and ticket availability.

Australia's Best Family Resort

Paradise Resort Gold Coast has been voted Australia's Best Family Resort for the 15th consecutive year, according to the resort.

Its family holiday concept has often been compared with a cruise ship on land, bringing together accommodation, activities, entertainment and recreational facilities within one destination.

The arrival of Rock on Ice strengthens that proposition by introducing an original live production that is specifically designed around family entertainment.

Rather than simply providing accommodation, the resort continues to develop experiences that can become part of the holiday itself.
