Additional tailor-made services for the Chinese
guest include Chinese-speaking hotel staff, Chinese-language television
channels, specially curated meals, teas, newspapers and shopping outlets. These
are all in addition to the dedicated sales offices of Dusit International, already located in China and Hong Kong.
Chinese travellers
represent a significant market for Dusit International as the highest potential
market of inbound visitors to the hospitality chain. This upward trend has been
proven by the number of Chinese visitors to Dusit International hotels, with a remarkable
70% increase during Q1-Q3 in 2012 as compared to the same period the previous
year. The most popular destination hotels for the Chinese guest are Dusit Thani Bangkok, Dusit Thani Laguna
Phuket and Dusit Thani Dubai.“Dusit International is confident in the opportunities provided by the robust Chinese market, especially in relation to properties slated to open in the coming months, such as Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, in Q1 of 2013,” said James Ramage, Assistant Vice President – Sales of Dusit International.
“Our key strategies in 2013 are to enhance synergy across our of all properties and to gain business from the market, as well as relationship integration with key Chinese clients by our target properties,” Mr. Ramage added.
The hospitality chain also plans to open two new properties in the country's emerging beach destination, Hainan--Dusit Thani Hainan and Dusit Devarana Hainan. These resorts represent the first footprints of the hotel chain in China and mark the beginnings of an aggressive expansion plan in the People's Republic.
