Opening Friday 9 October 2026, this fast-paced French farce promises secret affairs, mistaken identities, unexpected arrivals and a weekend that goes spectacularly wrong. For theatre lovers looking for a fun night out in the Upper Hunter, this production delivers plenty of laughs and classic farce.
A Weekend of Chaos and Comedy
Don’t Dress for Dinner centres on carefully arranged plans that rapidly fall apart. What begins as an attempt to organise a seemingly perfect weekend soon becomes an increasingly complicated web of secrets, lies, confusion and mistaken identities.
As unexpected characters arrive and one misunderstanding follows another, keeping track of who knows what becomes almost impossible. The result is a lively comedy filled with sharp wit, outrageous situations and plenty of theatrical surprises.
The production is ideal for audiences who enjoy traditional farce, clever comedy and fast-moving live theatre.
