The Southern Highlands’ month-long celebration of all things pies is coming to a close for 2019, with the finale of 30 days of pie celebrations, PieFest, taking place this weekend. PieFest promises to be bigger than previous years, with 15 pie outlets onsite and more pie themed activities including pie races, pie throwing and more pie eating sessions.
Visitors will be able to taste, purchase and enjoy a pie (or three!), plus vote for their favourite pie in the ‘People’s Choice’ award. Local producers will also be showcasing samples of local wines, beer and cider, with plenty of other activities including cooking demonstrations and entertainment. For the first time ever, the event will also include a vintage Holden car display.
PieFest is on 29th and 30th June at the Bong Bong Picnic Racecourse, Kangaloon Road, Bowral. Gates are open 10am to 4pm daily. Tickets are $10 for adults, children under 15 years old are free, and can be purchased online or at the gate.
