The MoU on a Media Partnership Promoting Hanoi on CNN International in the 2019-2024 period was inked in Ha Noi between Vice Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy and Senior Vice President Advertising Sales for CNN International across the Asia Pacific region, Sunita Rajan.
In 2019, under the theme "Ha Noi open to you," CNN will introduce Hanoi as a destination attracting tourists through its culture, history, heritage and people.
With the theme "Ha Noi: Ready to depart" in 2010, CNN will continue to promote images of Hanoi associated with the first ever organisation of the F1 race in the country.
In the next three years, audiences will be informed of Ha Noi as a host of regional and world sports events, a centre of innovation and a city of the future.
Previously, Ha Noi signed an agreement with CNN on popularising its images in the 2017-2018 period.
The US$1 million-programme has proven effective as it has improved TV viewers’ awareness of Ha Noi, while raising the rate of respondents who want to visit Ha Noi from 55% in 2017 to 111% in 2018.
