Four Seasons Resort Orlando Walt Disney Resort ‘A Dream Come True’

An impeccably fitting slogan, my stay at the Four Seasons Orlando Walt Disney Resort® was a dream more than I could have ever imagined come true. I have had the privilege of staying at 5 star resorts around the world for reviews, so whilst I continue to appreciate each hotel for its own experience, it is rare that I am completely ‘blown away’ by absolutely everything in a resort. However from the moment I arrived in the secluded, gated residential setting within Walt Disney World Resort®, this AAA Five Diamond Resort immediately began its journey in impressing me to no end.

The grounds provide a lakeside sanctuary of gardens, pools, palm and cypress trees, all contributing to the relaxed atmosphere and feelings of seclusion. But don’t be fooled, the location of the Four Seasons Orlando is actually within Walt Disney Resort®, making it perfect for the early mornings and late nights exploring the Disney Parks, with each only a short drive/shuttle away. This also means Disney benefits such as extra magic hours and Disney Fastpass up to 60 days prior to arrival can be taken advantage of in order to make the most of your Disney vacation.

The immaculate architecture and attention to detail from the outside towers and right throughout the interior take you back to Florida’s Golden age. The Four Seasons Orlando Website states it perfectly,

“Our lakeside Resort reflects the Spanish Revival architecture of an age gone by with its terracotta-tiled rooftops, square towers, arched windows and colonnades, a style that carries into each of our guest rooms through tall ceilings, crisp white furnishings and tasteful pops of colour”.

I was immediately transported to the elegance and beauty of this era as I walked through the grand entrance and witnessed the cascading chandeliers, overlooking the staircase down to one of the pools, and the lakes and gardens beyond.

The valet and lobby staff all greeted with a warm smile and went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and was taken care of. You can really see all staff are passionate about their work and their priority is in making your stay as pleasant and outstanding as possible.

I was guided to a park view suite, featuring 1000 square feet of luxury with an impressive entrance hallway, lounge and dining room with a queen size sofa bed, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and a master bedroom with a king bed. The décor and colour palate are extremely tasteful, providing a sense of home as well as high end luxury at once. No detail had been left untouched, with a generous walk in wardrobe, and one of the biggest bathrooms I have ever seen. A deep bathtub features on the back wall, with a double vanity and sink and even a built-in television screen on the mirror. I just knew I had to indulge in this prominent feature bath during my stay, and I was not disappointed!

A large balcony overlooking the pools, lake and gardens provides a perfect viewpoint for watching the Disney fireworks at night, or enjoying the sunshine during the day with most of the rooms and suites having a large balcony.

Outdoor activities were a no for me this time as it was raining, but with finer weather The Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando might interest you. Otherwise, Explorer Island has 5 acres of waterpark with water slides, splash zones, fountains, a lazy river, dive-in movies and pools for kids and families. For adults only, enjoy a relaxation pool Oasis while the kids join the complimentary kids club for ages 4-12.

You will be spoilt for choice and quality when it comes to dining, with world renowned Spanish steakhouse ‘Capa’, modern Italian restaurant ‘Ravello’ including Good Morning breakfasts with Goofy and his pals select mornings, a lakefront pool bar and grill ‘P B & G’, a golf clubhouse restaurant featuring American and Cuban dishes ‘Plancha’, or the lobby café for your coffee, pastry, sandwich or gelato needs ‘Lickety-Split’.
Finish your day or meet up with friends for drinks in the Lobby bar for cocktails and bar bites, or at Capa which was named one of the Best 100 Wine Restaurants in the US. I unfortunately did not have the time to experience most of these restaurants, however I was lucky enough to have dined at ‘Capa’- an experience which was so tantalising and incredible in every way it deserves to be featured on its own- watch out for the article to come!

Overall, I cannot recommend a stay at Four Seasons Orlando Walt Disney Resort enough, it truly is exceptional in every way! There is no better time to come and experience the luxury of the resort than from May-September this year, as the magic carpet is rolled out for the ‘Explore a new World’ Disney gift card package. Inspired by the release of Disney’s ‘Aladdin’, the package includes a special Aladdin themed welcome, Disney gift cards up to the value of 500USD for a suite booking, Arabian themed cocktails, dining, spa treatments and even kids club activities.

There has never been a better time to experience the complete luxury and hospitality the Four Seasons Orlando Walt Disney Resort provides. Combine the exceptionally friendly, professional staff with the lavish rooms, facilities and location and you too can have the astounding resort stay better than you could have dreamed. I look forward to returning one day to experience the rest of the activities and dining the resort has to offer and continue this ‘dream come true’.
