NEW CAMPAIGN TO ATTRACT WORKING HOLIDAY MAKERS

This week Tourism Australia launched a $10 million campaign in the United Kingdom – the nation’s largest market for working holiday makers – at London’s Victoria Station with a pop-up beach.

The announcement was made by the Commonwealth Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, the Hon Steven Ciobo, alongside Made in Chelsea star Lucy Watson, who will promote the campaign through her social channels.

Destination NSW is a key partner in the campaign and will be undertaking digital marketing activities, including the use of influencers and social media.

The campaign invites young people from around the world to come to Australia for a life-changing experience, working and holidaying in our beautiful country.

The three-year initiative will target the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and Canada and boost the number of working holiday maker arrivals.

In the year ending June 2016, NSW received 213,000 international Working Holiday Makers who stayed 17.9 million nights and spent $1.1 billion in our State.
