The owner of White Grass Ocean Resort, Mr John Marsh, had the following to say upon accepting of the award; “after winning the best outer ISLAND RESORT IN 2008, WGOR had a major rebuild and refurbishment in 2009, and this award is the culmination of the past 7 years hard work and continual upgrading of facilities and upskilling of staff.

15 Indonesian-style villas are shared between 3 villages: Fish Village, West Point Village and South Point Village. These individual 200-year-old homes were brought specially to Ratua and reconstructed on sites offering stunning views with a private deck or beach. Surrounded by lush gardens, each villa is beautifully furnished with eclectic, vintage pieces, a separate ensuite bathroom with toiletries and bathrobes, bar refrigerator, in-room safe, ceiling fans, private terrace and sun lounges with private beach/water access.
