Virtual gold treasure hunt to engage community at Elizabeth Quay
A new community project has been announced for Elizabeth Quay that links WA's gold rush history with today's gold industry. The Heart of Gold Discovery Trail and gold panning activity will provide a fun and interactive way for visitors to learn about WA's gold industry and its importance to the economy. Using the latest technology, visitors will be able to download an app that will take them on a virtual, gold treasure hunt from Elizabeth Quay to the Perth Mint. The project is expected to launch in January 2017.
