Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual fundraising walk to help more Australians beat blood cancer by improving survival rates and quality of life. More than 60,000 people are living with blood cancers across the country, including leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or related blood disorders. And every day, another 35 people are diagnosed.
Leukaemia Foundation and Mt Buller invite you to bring a little light into the lives of others by joining this uplifting and visually stunning event. Each lantern has a special meaning, gold to remember a loved one, white to represent your own blood cancer journey and blue to support others.
The nationally shared goal is to raise $2 million to enable the Leukaemia Foundation to continue providing free emotional and practical support for people living with blood cancer, as well as invest in research to improve treatments and find cures.
Light the Night is a family friendly event that unites Australians to shine a light on this important cause. ‘The Block’ contestant Steve O’Donnell will be MC for the special event.
