Sydney based The Perfect Wave – the #1 surf travel website in the world, invites surf and music enthusiasts to join them at three exclusive and intimate gigs in the Maldives with Australian music legend Tex Perkins (The Beasts Of Bourbon, The Cruel Sea, Tex, Don and Charlie, The Dark Horses) as part of their Surf Music In Paradise series.

The unique performances will be held from September 6 -13, 2015 at the picturesque Kandooma Resort in the Maldives, catering for a maximum of 100 guests.

Of the upcoming surfside gigs Tex Perkins says, “These three shows are what I am most looking forward to in 2015. Come join me, and bring the family!”

The Perfect Wave Surf Music In Paradise concept kicked off last year with two exclusive boutique surf music shows featuring Californian surfer/musician Donavon Frankenreiter.

Of his time with The Perfect Wave in the Maldives Donavon Frankenreiter said, “My wife and two children had a blast at Kandooma. We met some great people, had plenty of quality surf and the gigs were too much fun in an amazing setting.”

Perkins’ gigs will be held in the ideal setting of Kandooma’s Sunset Bar with beachside views of the iconic West Beach.

All three shows will feature unique set lists drawn from Tex’s many incredible incorporations over the years, and after each performance Perkins will sign CDs and meet his intimate audience.

Booking this unique experience through The Perfect Wave will also provide guests with twice daily access to surf transfers to six nearby breaks like Tucky Joes and Riptides. Non-surfers are catered for with plenty more to see and do including; snorkeling, scuba diving, yoga, as well as world class dining and enjoying one of the many slick poolside bars.

Surf Music In Paradise is the combined brainchild of The Perfect Wave’s CEO Jamie Gray and Global Marketing Manager – Ben Horvath. Ben said, “As a fan, attendee and sponsor of some of the early BDO’s, Warped Tours and many other gigs when I was publishing Underground Surf Magazine, I know the super crowded, sweaty, over policed festival gigs these days aren’t really a fun option for over 25s. It’s where the idea of combining a love of music and surfing in a special week in paradise came from. The upcoming trip with Tex provides an incredible opportunity for fans who may have seen him perform at The Hopetoun, Trade Union Club or Pala is Theatre back in the day, to see him play in front of an intimate group in the Maldives.”

Surfer and singer/songwriter Pete Murray also has also signed on for three Surf Music In Paradise gigs in the Maldives next year taking him out of Australia’s winter chills from June 12-19, 2016. Pete is amped to be able to combine his dual loves of surfing and music in the tropics with his partner, and is looking forward to some chilled downtime and the special sunset gigs.
