Luxperience Consumer Event Raises $28,000 for Eniwe Childrens Fund and the Make-a-Wish Foundation

Last night Luxperience hosted a gala event for a very select group of 150 high end travel consumers, with the aim to introduce them to the latest offerings in the high-end travel market as well as raise funds for it's chosen charities.

The customers of luxury brands such as Cerrone and Paspaley, as well as to the customers of Commonwealth Bank and Westpac private wealth advisors, were able to mingle with 228 exhibitors from all over the world ready to showcase an incredible range of unique travel experiences.

The travel products on show for these high-end consumers to explore, ranged from expedition cruising to exquisite and remote wellness retreats to destinations. Many are just opening up for tourism and are in Australia exclusively for Luxperience.

However guests were also there last night to help us raise much needed funds for the two children's charities that Luxperience supports.

The Eniwe Children's Fund is committed to improving the lives of child-headed households, those left orphaned as a result of the Aids epidemic in South Africa – and closer to home, the make-a-wish foundation, dedicated to organising experiences for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

During the evening guests were encouraged to dig deep to help Luxperience do just that, and the results were impressive, with almost $28,000 raised in single evening.

Guests were of course not expected to contribute on an empty stomach, and were lucky enough to sample some delectable delights from the most awarded restaurant in Australia, Quay, led by award winning executive chef and author, Peter Gilmore.

Peter released his first cookbook Quay: Food Inspired by Nature in 2010, a sumptuous book which captures his nature-based philosophy and the organic presentation of his stunning cuisine at Quay.

Peter was on hand last night to introduce the menu for the evening and take guests through a culinary journey that was a grand reflection of the tourism journeys Luxperience exhibitors were there to inspire.
