Japanese onsen hot spring water not only has many purported health benefits, but it’s great for your skin too! Ureshino Onsen, in Saga Prefecture, is a 1,300-year-old hot spring particularly well-known for its velvet smooth water that soothes and rejuvenates skin. With its naturally occurring sodium bicarbonate, this hot spring leaves your skin feeling moisturized and extra soft. Try ‘Siebold's Bath’ - a beautiful public bath in Ureshino with great accessibility features, set in a classic Gothic-style building.

Ureshino is also famous for its green tea, and many tea fields can be seen around the area. Ureshino Tea has a proud history dating back over 500 years, so be sure to enjoy a cup while you are there.

A visit to the nearby Toyotamahime Shrine is also recommended. This pretty shrine is dedicated to Toyotamahime, a deity known for her beautiful skin.

Enjoy a spot of self-care in this tranquil onsen town!
