Culinary Tourism Alliance wins big at Ontario Tourism Awards

The 50 Best Explores Ontario campaign, curated in partnership with 50 Best Explores was awarded the Ontario Tourism Marketing Award for Best Tourism Marketing Campaign Over 50K.

Toronto, ON – The Culinary Tourism Alliance is proud to announce that we have won the Marketing Campaign Over $50k Award of Excellence for our 50 Best Explores Ontario campaign at the Ontario Tourism Awards – part of the TIAO Ontario Tourism Summit.

The Tourism Marketing Award of Excellence recognizes the unique collaboration and innovation of the 50 Best Explores Ontario campaign.

“We are so thrilled to get this recognition. This campaign represented a significant marketing partnership involving over 25 partners” said Rebecca Mackenzie, President & CEO of the Culinary Tourism Alliance. “It’s the magic - and complexity – of collaboration that made this project possible. We are immensely proud to have been given the opportunity to take a taste of Ontario and Canada onto the world stage.”

The purpose of the 50 Best Explores Ontario project was to take chefs and restaurateurs from the 50 Best family and bring them on an adventure to highlight the diverse, dynamic, and delicious food experiences available in Ontario. This project showcased the diversity, strength, and local secrets of Ontario’s culinary culture, focusing not only on Feast On® Certified restaurants but the farms and producers who supply them.

Lifelong friendships were made between chefs, farmers and makers - while the world watched. The campaign provided a unique glimpse for international chefs – and viewers – to see firsthand what makes the Feast On network for special.

This award recognizes the Culinary Tourism Alliance’s ongoing efforts to grow food tourism by leveraging the history, heritage, and culture behind the food and drink that makes Ontario – and Canada – unique. The CTA looks forward to sharing their next collaborative marketing endeavour: The Great Taste of Ontario, while continuing to develop, market, and promote our food & drink sector within a united tourism industry.
