On Wednesday, 1 July, Canadians everywhere celebrated Canada Day, commemorating the joining of Canada’s original three provinces, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the provinces of Canada (now known as Ontario and Quebec) as the Dominion of Canada in 1867.

While health and safety continue to be a top priority, Canada’s friendly locals look forward to welcoming back visitors from all around the world. When the time is right, Canada will be here ready to welcome Aussie travellers once more, with Glowing Hearts.

In the meantime, get ready to blow out the Can-a-dles right here in Australia and immerse yourself in all things Canadian, starting with maple bacon for breakfast!

Lose yourself in Canada’s colourful communities and get to know the inspiring local characters in the Canada’s Calling podcast. This 13-part podcast series follows hosts Mike and Ashley as they travel to every province and territory to connect with Canadians who are answering their calling. They weave together the stories of the people and the places that make each area of Canada unique and connect with the distinct communities across our country. The Canada’s Calling Podcast is available here.

To brighten up your work day, download these stunning images from across country to add Canada to your virtual Zoom meetings, or add some fun to your text conversations with these Canada GIFs.
