From 21-23 November 2017, the second “Green Heritage” culture and tourism week will be organized with the theme “The Convergence of human and nature” as a part of activities to celebrate Viet Nam Heritage Day (23 November).
The event will take place at the Viet Nam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts (No.2, Hoa Lu Street, Ha Noi) with the participation of many provinces nationalwide aiming to introduce and honor culture and nature heritage, especially world heritage recognized by UNESCO.
This is also an opportunity to promote culture and nature potential and ecotourism at world heritage sites, as well as exchange experiences in preserving the value of heritage.
The event will include traditional culture performance such as Ca Tru singing, Vi and Giam folk songs, Chau van singing..., culture exchange with the theme “Youth and natural heritage”, concert at the Ly Thai To statue square and Ha Noi countryside, exhibition “Impresion of Vietnamese natural heritage sites”, painting festival “Children with natural heritage”, Vietnamese cuisine area...
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, “Green Heritage” culture and tourism week is a special social acitivity showing Viet Nam’s responsibility to preseve culture and national heritage. It is also a chance to raise awaereness and enhance the role of community in biodiversity conservation, natural environment protection and mitigation of negative impacts of climate change.
