Exquisite Valrhona Chocolate Mooncakes at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for celebrating the important things in life. Mooncakes are a hallmark of this jubilant holiday, and sharing of them is a traditional way of honouring the harmonious bonds of friends and family.

Four Seasons Hotel Beijing extends best wishes from its family to its guests’ families with a sumptuous surprise – mooncakes filled with gourmet Valrhona chocolate. The rich, smooth taste of chocolate from this world-class chocolatier inside these traditional treats make them the perfect gift to show appreciation to those who mean the most, from business partners to in-laws.

Executive Pastry Chef Francesco Mannino uses his finely honed skills to complement the distinct flavours of Valrhona chocolate, creating an innovative series of tastes, including Milk Chocolate & Raspberry, Dark Chocolate & Nuts, Blueberry & Lemon, Oolong Tea, Five Spices, and Mango & Orange. The results are modern mooncakes that appear simple on the outside, but contain hidden depths and complexities – just like a harmonious family.

For guests who prefer a more traditional take on these classic cakes, Four Seasons Hotel Beijing will also offer classic mooncake flavours, including White Lotus & Melon Seed with Egg Yolk, Red Lotus & Egg Yolk with Sugar Alcohol, Healthy Longan & Medlar, Cantonese Custard Mooncakes, Chinese Yam with Osmanthus and Beijing-Style Hawthorn Flavour. Mooncake hampers are even more special, bringing together a clutch of delicacies from around the country, including Lotus Seeds, Red Dates, Yunnan Ham, Cantonese Sausage, Sunflower Seeds and Macarons (nine pieces), Hebrad Red Wine, Tea Box and one box of chocolate Mooncakes (four pieces).

Four Seasons Hotel Beijing will donate two percent of the revenue from this year’s total mooncake sales to Educating Girls of Rural China, an organisation that offers financial support to girls and young women pursuing an education in Gansu province.
