Ho Chi Minh City in the top 10 fastest tourism growing cities in the world

CNN Channel (U.S.A) has announced “Top 10 fastest tourism growing cities in the world”, of which Ho Chi Minh City (Viet Nam) ranks 10th.

According to CNN, with the tourism growth of 12.9%, Ho Chi Minh City shows the fast tourism development for many recent years. Besides the impression of a dynamic city with the modern and a little ancient beauty, tourists to Ho Chi Minh City are also fascinated by friendly people and rich culinary culture.

Located in a transitional zone between South East and Mekong River Delta, the city has the terrain of hills alternated with the medium and low coastal areas, forming beautiful natural landscapes such as Tien Spring, Mo Spring, Can Gio Mangrove Forest… Ho Chi Minh City now becomes a harmonious combination place between traditional culture of Vietnamese people and unique culture of the West.

Along with preservation of almost the cultural and historical relics such as: Quoc To Temple (National Ancestors Temple); Nha Rong (Dragon House Wharf), Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh Municipal Theatre, Notre Dame Cathedral…; the revolutionary relics such as Cu Chi Tunnels, Independence Palace..., the city also focused on construction and development of tourism infrastructure, transport system and constructed more works such as tourist areas of Thanh Da, Binh Quoi, Suoi Tien, Suoi Mo, Dam Sen... and Nguyen Hue Walking Street – the most modern pedestrian street combined with traffic in Viet Nam.

Annually, Ho Chi Minh City attracts a large number of international and domestic tourists.

Top 10 fastest tourism growing cities in the world include Colombo, Sri Lanka (21.1%); Chengdu, China (20.7%); Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (20.4%); Osaka, Japan (19.8%); Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (18%); Xian, China (16.2%); Taipei, Taiwan (14.9 %); Tokyo, Japan (14.6%); Lima, Peru (13.9%); and Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam (12.9%).
