Experience #myfirstsnow in Canberra

Corin Forest Mountain Resort
Build a snowman, go tobogganing, start a snowball fight! Give your children their first snow experience just a short drive from the national capital.

The Corin Forest Mountain Resort brings a modern alpine experience to the outskirts of Canberra, offering a snow play area in the Tidbinbilla Mountain Ranges less than an hour from the heart of the city.

Corin Forest is offering a bigger winter experience this season, including a dedicated toddler area, additional parking, and double the area of snowmaking.

Children will love tobogganing and building snowmen in the purpose-built snow play area all winter long thanks to a state-of-the-art snowmaking system providing snow cover.

Parents can keep the chills at bay while the kids have a ball and grab a hot coffee and fresh donuts at the new Donut and Coffee Shack all without leaving the snow.

At Corin Forest visitors can also ride the spectacular Alpine Slide as it descends 1.2km through the majestic Mountain Ash forest. A lift delivers you to the top of the track before you descend at your own pace down the slide taking in the beautiful surrounds of Corin Forest.

The refurbished lodge and café provides the perfect place to refuel and enjoy a wood fired pizza, get warm by an open fire, roast your own marshmallows and enjoy the gorgeous winter setting.

As temperatures drop and the ski season gets underway, Corin Forest and Australia's largest ski resort, Perisher, have joined forces to help more people enjoy the snow by starting close to home. Corin Forest general manager Dane Liepins hopes the new relationship with Perisher will help more people experience and enjoy the snow.

“We love snow; it's the perfect winter fun,” Mr Liepins said. “By working with Perisher we're giving families the opportunity to come and have their first snow experience at Corin, to build a snowman and toboggan, then offer them a great deal to get skiing or boarding at Perisher when they're bitten by the snow bug.”

Corin Forest is open seven days throughout winter. For more details about how you can experience #myfirstsnow visit http://www.visitcanberra.com.au/attraction/corin-forest-mountain-resort.
