I remember my wedding day as if it was yesterday like many of us, but I also remember the preparation for the day and that made me think of who I truly am. I am very low-key and I don't show off. Yes, I love knowing many people, I am bold, I am somebody that doesn't stop when thinking, “who am I to ask, do, think this” I just do things knowing that I might not be the most prepared person in the world, the most intellectual person, or the one with the most degrees. I do know that my heart and my passion drive me to do things that are out of the "common" world and the results I have achieved for over a decade prove that my process works! I am driven to succeed because my success allows me to give opportunities to others. My passion feeds my ability to help other people. Financial gain is low on my list of motivating factors. I feel I am kind of like Moses, without being a "chosen one" because I know that I have a mission in life to do more than what I have already done. Whatever my mission is, I don't even know myself yet. I just know that when I wake up every morning, no matter whether I feel like it or not, I have to keep moving, and working so I can keep sharing my passion. My credo is that everybody in life deserves what their heart desires and my days be filled with deep conversations and meaningful people to inspire others for the days to come. Our pastori (shepherds in Italian) chose to do that job because they wanted to, not just because they had nothing better to do. Our drivers love to lead people to the known areas of their country. Our cooks understand the pleasure that food gives to travelers that goes beyond a demonstration of their expertise. We always strive to do the right thing, because we know that we create special moments in people's days when our actions go beyond simply providing a service that our customers have paid for. We take the passion that our See Italy family has for sharing Italy with others and sprinkle our clients’ experiences with our infectious and authentic love for our country. It is hard sometimes to get up and see the news. We pray for those suffering at the hands of others and commend everyone helping refugees in this time of war. We say “Welcome to the effort” to those people currently digging into their pockets to help others and we pray that they will continue to donate to other worthy causes in poor countries around the world from now on, just as we have done since our inception. We are subtle about things because showing up daily is what everybody needs and we are proud to say that our trips are made of luxurious moments that enrich the lives of those we serve. Join us when you can and want, we will be here for you always just like that pillow you used to hug when times of comfort where needed. *Laura, See Italy |
