Check out the Sesoko Island, just a short 15-minute drive from Okinawa’s famous Churaumi Aquarium

In summer, there are many white-sand beaches to enjoy a picnic as well as a swim or a dive session in the emerald ocean.

Let time lapse as you enjoy meals at artisanal cafes or try your hand at making Okinawan handicrafts like bingata (patterned textile) or shisa (guardian lion).

During the cooler evenings, the sky displays an extraordinary view of the stars because of the area’s low light pollution.
