Maiko Resort, located just north of Yuzawa in Niigata Prefecture, is the perfect place for beginner-friendly ski slopes!

The resort is ideal for people who are new to skiing or snowboarding because of its many beginner and intermediate-level slopes. 

It also has tree-run courses and an off-piste for skiers looking for a challenge. 

Boasting 10 ski lifts and 26 courses, it is a popular spot for day-ski trips from Tokyo, as it takes just under 2 hours to get to Maiko.
