The Opening Ceremony and Mekong Tourism Alliance Award of ITE HCMC 2016

Another successful International Travel Expo (ITE) was held in September in Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening event was the Gala Dinner held at the GEM Centre.

On September 7, the Opening Ceremony of the 12th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City honour to welcome the dignitaries, important personalities, hosted buyers, hosted and invited media, exhibitors and sellers, and invited guests.

Before the official opening of the exhibition, all attendees will be impressed by very entertaining performances and will be treated to first class gastronomic experience.

The opening of the exhibition was officiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam; Vice Minister, Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand; Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos; Minister of Hotel and Tourism of Myanmar; Minister of Tourism of Cambodia; Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Vice Governor, Phnom Penh; Vice Mayor, Vientiane; Secretary of Yangon City Development Committee and the COO of Informa Exhibitions Asia Pacific.

A feature of the evening was the 8th Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards.

The MTAA is organised to celebrate and acknowledge the brightest tourism Stars in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to instil a greater sense of pride and achievement for professionals and organisations and serve as recognition for quality excellence in tourism and hospitality in the alliance countries.
