First pedestrian street launched in Mong Cai city

Mong Cai city in the northern province of Quang Ninh in Vietnam inauguratde Tran Phu pedestrian street on May 30th, reported the Quang Ninh News.

This is the first walking street in Mong Cai city, contributing to speeding up the city’s tourism and trade development.

Together with the inauguration of the walking street, the city also organised a ceremony to announce OCOP (One Commune, One Product) brands such as white-leg shrimp, Tra Co crab and Mong Cai pork.

On the sidelines, a street festival was organised with various programmes such as art firework display, dragon dance, drum beating, Flashmob, Grand and Hawai performances.

In addition, delegates, people and tourists will have a chances to visit OCOP kiosks, taste free Sai Gon beer and enjoy performances by street music bands.
