Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair Scheduled for September 19 & 20

In its fourth year, the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (known as Kyomaf) will return to the city on September 19 and 20, 2015.

The largest anime/manga trade fair in Western Japan, the event drew more than 40,000 people in 2014, and is expected to see record crowds again this year.

Held across two locations, the Miyako Messe (Kyoto International Exhibition Hall) and Kyoto International Manga Museum, Kyomaf 2015 will unite more than 50 exhibitors, some 45 manga publishers and dozens of performers, giving visitors the chance to attend talks, watch live events, pitch ideas to publishers and purchase merchandise and souvenirs.

The full list of exhibitors will be announced online (kyomaf.jp/en) in July, with tickets going on sale at the same time. Entry costs 1,200 yen, with the ticket price waived for foreign visitors who are able to show an international passport.
