NSW hotels, restaurants, wellness spas and adventure
activities that have been EarthCheck assessed will now be able to display the
T-QUAL Tick as a sign of quality for domestic and international travellers.
The Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP, said the endorsement of the EarthCheck Assessed program broadens the range of quality tourism products for travellers to search.
“T-QUAL endorsement of EarthCheck Assessed will allow tourism businesses that are committed to an exceptional and environmentally sustainable visitor experience to use the T-QUAL Tick as a symbol of quality,” Minister Ferguson said.
“The T-QUAL Tick gives consumers the opportunity to identify quality tourism products, no matter what their budget may be, and book their holiday with confidence.
EarthCheck Assessed received endorsement from the Tourism Quality Council of Australia, bringing the total number of quality assurance schemes it has endorsed to 12 covering over 13,000 tourism businesses. www.ret.gov.au/tqual.
