The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with The Cloud will host the Amazing Green Fest 2024 and The Hotelier 2024 forum to promote sustainable tourism by inviting travellers to embark on their journeys with responsibility. The events aim to support organisations involved in tourism to enhance their responsibility to society and the environment, increasing opportunities and understanding towards a balanced well-being with nature. The events will be held from 15-18 August 2024 at Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Bangkok.
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated, “Sustainable tourism is not just a trend or for specific groups of people anymore. It is the key to success and the long-term immunity of the tourism industry, which TAT is committed to steering ahead. TAT continues to develop Amazing Thailand as the tourism brand aiming for sustainability based on the unique Thai charm. These objectives align with the 20-year national strategy for building competitiveness and the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan, milestone 2, to position Thailand as a quality tourism destination focusing on sustainability.”
To achieve these goals, Thailand needs to drive growth in the tourism supply chain by adopting a rebranding strategy that transforms Thai tourism to High Value and Sustainability. This includes prioritising quality tourists with high purchasing power, long-stay preferences, and environmental responsibility. Additionally, it involves shaping supplies to support tourists, elevating sustainability standards, and promoting cities worth visiting to achieve fair and thorough income distribution. By accomplishing these goals, the Thai tourism industry can grow sustainably and in balance.
Amazing Green Fest 2024 is expected to inspire organisations inside and outside the tourism industry, including tourists, to preserve tourism resources and understand the relationship between people and nature to live together in balance.

TAT’s operations aim to achieve sustainable goals by undertaking profound implementations, including the endorsement of a heart-shaped leaf on the Amazing Thailand logo, signifying care within the triangle of sustainability focusing on society, economy, culture, and environment. This is also projected as a pioneering campaign of TAT Carbon Neutral Event, addressing responsibility for greenhouse gas emissions accredited by Carbon Neutral Event certification seal or a carbon-free event from the TGO.”

The Hotelier 2024 forum presents knowledge on hotel management and tourism sustainability from leading organisations such as Dusit Thani, Chiva-Som, CROSSROADS Maldives, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, THANN Wellness, Trisara, Sela, and Thai Fight Hotel. It aims to inspire and empower new and small entrepreneurs to enhance services for tourists and visitors, creating meaningful experiences and winning loyalty.
