Kawaguchiko, which takes in Lake Kawaguchi, is located in the Yamanashi Prefecture near Mount Fuji, Japan. 

The Kawaguchiko area offers views of Mount Fuji, particularly across the Kawaguchiko Lake, one of the five in the the Mount Fuji area. 

It is easily accessible places from Tokyo, with direct bus and train connections. Glamping Villa Hanz offers a base discovering the Saiko Bat Cave, in the Aokigahara Jukai Forest near Lake Saiko. 

Stretching more than 350 metres, it is the largest lava cave at the base of Mt. Fuji. 

While the cave once had numerous bats, their numbers dwindled due to neglect but, with conservation efforts in recent decades, the population has steadily rebounded.
