We are honed into who we are and what we were born to do and we are taking off from there developing more and more itineraries that have many exciting experiences. For instance, ceramics with Italian ceramists, woodworking with local wood artisans, and archeology with archeologists to name but three. Our off-the-beaten-path itineraries feature extensive time with locals who are local-experiential guides and local inhabitants of small villages that have amazing personal stories to tell.
When I share this last concept with people, they sometimes look at me not understanding what I am talking about. This is why we have decided to create and share a series of webinars that explain who we are and what we mean when we say that our itineraries give you an identity to a place. We want you to understand how our travelers feel a sense of belonging that they have been looking to experience for quite a long time.
When people travel with us, they want to discover the usual places, if it is their first time, but the difference we provide is the connections they make, wherever they visit, which creates a sense of belonging and generates energy that recharges them when they recount their experiences and the stories they’ve heard.
Stories keep us alive and bring us understanding and appreciation for the places we’ve traveled to. We can also learn something about ourselves when listening to other people tell their stories as we identify with certain aspects that we admire or recognize in ourselves. Having locals share their stories in the first place is what gives us a better connection with the people, their history, and their meaning.
