FIVB World League coming toy Sydney

Volleyball Australia is delighted to announce that for the second time since 1999 Australia's Men's Indoor Volleyroos will host the FIVB World League in 2015, and for the first time in World League history they will compete in Group 1 with the top 8 countries in the world.

In Pool A, the Volleyroos will be joined by Italy, Brazil and Serbia to compete in the intercontinental home and away rounds.

The round games will be followed by the Final Six play-offs.

The winner of this Finals series will be the 2015 champions of the FIVB World League and take home the AUD1million prize money

Sydney will play host to the World's Number 1 Mens Volleyball Team, when the Volleyroos will host Brazil at the Sydney Olympic Park Sport Centre on 27 and 28 June.

Sydney is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city with a diverse population featuring a rich history, internationally-recognised tourist attractions and an exciting calendar of events.

The local area has one of Australia's most ethnically diverse populations – almost half of our residents were born overseas and about 30% speak a language other than English. The most common language spoken at home after English is Chinese, followed by Indonesian, Korean and Greek.

The FIVB World League returns to Sydney for a third time, having hosting Italy in 1999, Canada and the Group 2 Finals in 2014. This year sees Sydney playing host to World Number #1 Brazil.
