Exclusive 'Range of Grange' Wine Dinner

The Royal Mail Hotel
The Royal Mail Hotel in Victoria's Grampians – awarded Best Hotel Wine List worldwide at the World of Fine Wine Awards in June 2015 – will hold an wine dinner, A Range of Grange, on Friday July 24, 2015. An iconic food and wine experience featuring five esteemed Penfolds Grange pours vintaged in 1979, 1981, 1985, 1989 and 1997, plus a Chateau d'Yquem to finish, paired with a delectable six course, bespoke menu designed by Executive Chef Robin Wickens.

Tickets to attend this one night only event at the Royal Mail Hotel, including overnight accommodation and breakfast the following morning, are $1,000.00 per head. Penfolds Ambassador Jason Barrette will attend the soiree and explain the varying complexities and characters of each highly sought after wine on behalf of the Penfolds current custodian and Chief Winemaker Peter Gago.

The evening's menu will profile produce sourced from the Royal Mail Hotel's expansive organic kitchen gardens and orchards alongside the wines from the Victorian property's comprehensive and varied wine collection, valued currently at $2.3 million. Over 2,500 international wines appear on the hotel's wine list, which was recently awarded Best Hotel Wine List (worldwide), Best Overall in Region (Australasia) and Best Dessert & Fortified Wine List at the 2015 World of Fine Wine Awards; a London-based awards ceremony in its second year from quarterly international magazine World of Fine Wine.
