Sculpture at Scenic World 2015 ends soon

Thirty three international and Australian artists transform Scenic World’s natural Jurassic rainforest in the Blue Mountains with world-class sculptures in the Sculpture at Scenic World, which ends on  May 10, 2015.

Now in its fourth year, the exhibition features international artists from Germany, Finland, New Zealand, The Netherlands and Japan, alongside Australian artists from Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales, including five Blue Mountains’ artists. All artists vye for the coveted $20,000 Scenic world Award as selected by an independent judging panel including Emeritus Professor David Williams AM, Anne Loxley, Curator C3West at MCA and Clara Hali, sculptor.

The exhibition’s 2015 Public Program offers exciting opportunities for art lovers, enthusiasts, children and families. Highlights include free guided tours for the general public, Artist Talks and the popular Sculpture or Small people workshops.

This year, the Sculpture Projects initiative presents an in depth look at materials artist use to create their works in a program called metalheads featuring notable sculptors working with metal.
