New apps for the Tropical North Queensland and Capricorn
regions have been launched to make holiday planning a breeze.
For travellers to Tropical North Queensland, the free smart
phone application puts accommodation, tours, events, activities and restaurants
in the palm of their hands. Refreshed daily, the app allows users to scan QR
codes online, from signs and digital poster boxes around Cairns, in regional
tourism magazines and from flyers at Cairns Central shopping centre and rental
car agencies.
While in the Capricorn region, the Capricorn Holidays app
provides users with a comprehensive list of accommodation, attractions,
destinations, events, tours and transport. Users have access to a suite of
brochures and guides, links to social media sites for all the latest news and
direct contact with accredited visitor information centres.
