Scenic Spot in Fukushima Prefecture’s Goshikinuma

Get in touch with nature at this scenic spot in Fukushima Prefecture’s Goshikinuma – a picturesque lake district with a series of colourful ponds.

The surreal hues change from rusty red to deep turquoise and milky blue, depending on the weather and the volcanic elements contained within.

Akanuma is known for its red hues thanks to its iron-rich plants, while Tatsunuma changes from deep green to vibrant blue by the season.

Bishamonnuma is the largest lake, where you can relax in a rowboat and appreciate the view of this scenic natural beauty.
