Today, I would like to update you on some of the active steps we have taken to elevate our cleanliness standards and protocols in our hotels.
Our Commitment to Care and Cleanliness
As illustrated in the video, we have developed a holistic approach to foster an environment of confidence and security that ensures our guests and team members are protected. The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts’ Commitment to Care and Cleanliness focuses on three main areas as outlined below.
Enhanced Deep Cleaning Practices
From the point of arrival to check-in and within the guest rooms, dining venues and meeting spaces, guests will experience an elevated level of protection. Our Hygiene and Cleanliness Committee – consisting of a dedicated in-house team aided by external experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention – has set up rigorous and enhanced cleanliness practices that will ensure a safe home-away-from-home hotel experience.
New Technologies To Ensure Safety And Well-Being
To provide guests with peace of mind, we have incorporated the latest innovation in the form of new cleaning technologies and a digital concierge service. This includes the implementation of handheld disinfectant spray machines which utilise electrostatic spraying technology and the highest grade of disinfectants, as well as hospital grade equipment to sanitise all areas and facilities within the hotel.
Hygiene Accreditation
All Fullerton team members are also taking individual and social responsibility to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene standards. New work procedures, independent audits and mandatory training are being implemented.
I am delighted to share that both The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore have received the SG Clean certification, an official endorsement by the Singapore National Environment Agency which certifies the enhanced levels of sanitation and hygiene standards we have put in place. Additionally, all team members at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney will complete the Australian Government COVID-19 Infection Control Training; a hygiene and health certification.

Supporting Our Community
Despite the challenging times, I am heartened by the many acts of kindness, generosity, courage and goodwill shown among medical professionals, frontline workers and the unsung heroes around the world, including communities in Singapore and Sydney.
As the world continues to battle against COVID-19, we are supporting the frontline heroes who are bravely serving the communities, as well as migrant worker groups who need an extra helping hand.
Since April, our culinary team has prepared over 10,000 packed meals for healthcare workers and migrant workers in Singapore and we have donated essential supplies including masks and clothes to migrant workers. In Sydney, we donated 8,000 N95 respirator masks to a local hospital to assist in the short-term supply concerns for much needed protective equipment.
No matter where in the world we may be, all of us can play a part to support the community. Together, we can make a difference and overcome these challenges.
The world remains a wonderful place with its incredible sights, fascinating cultures and unforgettable experiences. Despite these trying times, the spirit of travel and the joy of connecting with people and cultures all over the world are still alive.
