Sendai Tanabata Matsur is the most famous tanabata celebration in Japan which takes place in downtown Sendai, Miyagi prefecture. It is held every year on August 6th to 8th.

Colorful streamers that represent the threads of a loom are decorated with other smaller paper ornaments and then hung to bring good luck in a variety of areas of our life.

There are more than two million visitors visit Sendai to see this famous summer matsuri. Are you going to be one of them?
