The Star Sydney Unveils the Brand New Harvest Buffet

Sydney's premier entertainment destination, The Star Sydney, is pleased to introduce its latest dining offering Harvest Buffet.

Formerly Garden Buffet, the newly renovated 500 seat restaurant features five live food stations offering a selection of international cuisines for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

A feast for the senses, Harvest Buffet is spearheaded by The Star's Executive Chef, Uday Huja and Chef de Cuisine Jean Moutou, supported by international cuisine speciality chefs who have been appointed to oversee each live cooking station.

“Harvest Buffet is an eclectic mix of fresh international dishes, from crispy roast pork belly, traditional naan, sushi to stone fired pizzas, there is something to tantalise all tastes. These dishes are expertly prepared each day to showcase the spectacular seasonal produce available in Australia,” said Mr Huja.

“We want every visit to Harvest Buffet to be one to remember, so each specialty chef is preparing mouth-watering authentic dishes, using their favourite family recipes, like my signature southern fried chicken inspired by my home town in Virginia,” continued Mr Huja.

Menu highlights include, succulent Peking duck prepared in the double-sided duck oven, fresh high-grade sirloin beef cooked over live flames on the Parilla grill, tender Indian garlic chicken skewers and naan bread roasted in the tandoori oven and delivered straight to your table.

The tempting dessert station headed up by The Star's Executive Pastry Chef Buddika Gunawardana features three large chocolate fountains, self-serve gelato and soft ice cream machines, and a variety of hand-crafted cakes and pastries, including retro classics such as bread and butter pudding and home-style baked apple pie.

On weekends, diners can also indulge in unlimited fresh seafood including Sydney Rock oysters, prawns, Alaskan snow crab, Queensland spanner crab, mussels, clams and Petuna Tasmanian salmon.

The gourmet food selection, enhancing value and choice for guests, is complemented by a fully stocked bar including an interactive iPad beverage menu. The bar provides an extensive selection of Australian and international wines, signature cocktails and craft beer. The bar also offers a selection of non-alcoholic options including soft drinks, milkshakes, frappes and fresh barista made coffees.

The Star's General Manager of Food & Beverage, Andy North said: “The Star is focused on providing guests with more choice, saying: “We have completely overhauled our buffet offering to create a beautiful, inviting space with an enviable selection of dishes prepared at the highest standard with a competitive price point. There is no other buffet like it in Sydney.”

The new open-plan interior celebrates the experience of shared dining and was designed by renowned interior architecture practice, Chada – designers of the Pan Pacific in Singapore, Sails in the Desert at Uluru, Hayman Island Resort and Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa.

Harvest Buffet is located on Level 1 of the Astral Residences and is open to the general public and guests of The Darling and Astral Tower. Prices range from $38 to $48.90 for adults and $19 to $22 for children aged five to 12.
