AIME offers latest trends and insights for event professionals

The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME), 23 – 24 February 2016, has revealed its highly anticipated Knowledge Program, featuring creative and cutting edge sessions presented by industry leaders.

A centrepiece of the two day tradeshow, the AIME Knowledge Program will offer event professionals a range of best-practice case studies, technology solutions and future trends.

Ian Wainwright, Event Director – AIME, Reed Travel Exhibitions explained that the program has been designed to offer tangible solutions in an ever changing marketplace.

“With the event industry constantly adapting to market fluctuations and global influences, it’s vital that the community has solid statistics, research and case studies on which to make immediate decisions, and assist in preparing for the future.

“Centered on the key themes of innovation, connection and engagement, the Knowledge Program draws on experience from members of all parts of the event community. Their knowledge, advice and solutions will help event professionals develop themselves and grow their businesses,” said Mr Wainwright.

All AIME Knowledge Program sessions are free to attend and easily accessible in new purpose built theatres on the show floor. Industry heavyweights include:

Andrew Roberts, Business Development Manager, American Express will present global meeting trends for 2016, highlighting how to respond to changing circumstances including social media, compliance, technology, BRIC countries and incentives.

El Kwang, Managing and Editorial Director, Biz Events Asia will present current behaviour trends of the Asian market, bust myths about working with international clients and offer tips to establish the right relationships.

Darren Natale, Managing Director, Aesthetic – An Experiential Creative Agency, will take the audience through the two highly important steps that sit at each end of the event life cycle; strategy and measurement.

Joyce DiMascio, Chief Executive, Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA)will deliver an engaging session outlining events by members of EEAA that have showcased innovation, best practice and marketing successes.

Sonja Firth, Director, Business Influencer, will demonstrate how LinkedIn can build credibility, and bring new opportunities in the world of big business, as well as gain an understanding of how to successfully turn strangers into contacts, contacts into leads, and leads into long lasting advocates.

John Peacock, General Manager, Associations Forum will facilitate a session challenging the audience to consider the latest association event trends and what needs to be done to keep relevant in a constantly changing environment.

Alan Ivory, VP of Professional Services, etouches will comment on how companies today spend 30% of their marketing on events, but fail to effectively calculate ROI from these events. He will outline what needs to be tracked and how to do that with an objective and scientific approach to ROI calculation, one that takes in engagement achieved, interactions, outcomes and feedback from the audience.

Peter Gray, General Secretary, The Incentive Association Inc. and Ed Bernacki, Management Committee Member, The Incentive Association Inc. will demystify the science behind putting together an effective incentive programme and suggest some innovations.

Damien Munro, Senior Business Development Manager, Eventbrite will share new research that illustrates the importance of the live experience on the human experience, and trends that point to the health of the industry.

Michael Licenblat, CEO, Bounce Back Fast will close the program offering solutions of how to cope with the pressures and changes that will challenge you. Attendees will leave the session understanding how to build personal resilience to bounce back from setbacks, pressures and stresses.

The AIME Knowledge Program will also include a series of intimate interviews with inspiring personalities from around the globe, produced by Saxton Speakers Bureau.
