One of Australia’s leading road cycling events, the Battle on the Border cycling festival, will be held in Regional NSW for a further two years from 2015. Held on the far North Coast in the Tweed region the event is expected to inject $2 million in overnight visitor expenditure into the local and NSW economy.
The four-day cycling festival attracts cyclists of all ages and skills and features the competitive Tour de Battle, which is included as a stage of Cycling Australia’s National Road Series.
The Tour de Battle competitive cycling tour is a multi-stage, multi-division race held over the four days of Battle on the Border, which sees cyclists take on the challenging hills and valleys in the spectacular setting of Northern NSW.
