12 Hours of free entertainment at the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show

When it comes to unique entertainment, the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show (the Show) has it all. From traditional favourites, to new events and attractions, the entertainment line-up at the 2015 Show will excite both young and old.

Michael Collins, Show Chief Operating Officer, encouraged Showgoers to plan ahead to ensure a great day out with family and friends.

“Once inside, there’s over 12 hours of free entertainment at the Show. My advice is to head to eastershow.com.au to see the huge range of fantastic attractions and plan to get the most out of your day at the Show,” said Mr Collins.

Each night in Spotless Stadium, Showgoers will be treated to a performance by Xtreme Corruption and the extraordinary talents of the Human Cannonball Lady, Jennifer Schneider, one of three female cannonballs in the world. Visitors will be left astonished as the American launches herself 20 metres in the air at speeds up to 70 kilometres per hour.

A must see at the 2015 Show is Dinosaur Ice World. Showgoers will be transported back to the Ice Age with this interactive, walk-through exhibition. In a fully-themed area featuring snow trees, ice rocks and even falling snow, visitors will come up-close to a life-sized Woolly Mammoth, Woolly Rhinoceros, Penguin family and a rare Glyptodont.

The Sydney Royal Woodchopping & Sawing Competition has been a feature of the Sydney Royal Easter Show for over a century. Attracting over 220 male and female competitors from Australia and overseas who compete in 65 different classes, this is the only Show competition that is also a World Titles event.

Making their Show debut is this year is comedy hypnotist Anthony Laffan as well as the Feathered Friends Bird Show. Both acts feature excellent audience interaction, whether it is the educational yet entertaining sight of free flying birds of prey or starring beside Anthony Laffan during his hilarious modern take on hypnosis.

This year, ShowLink tickets won't be available for purchase on train stations or Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses. But rest assured, same-day return public transport is still included in every ShowLink ticket.

Showgoers can head to www.eastershow.com.au and access pre-sale ticket savings on all ShowLink tickets until 16 March. The Show runs from 26 March to 8 April 2015.
